As the holidays were just around the corner, I had purchased mason jars so that I could make my own gifts. But what to make was the question. I knew that I could make my own cookie jar mix and give it away as a present. My husband’s family members are not really bakers, so giving them a pre-made mix was the ultimate solution. Now I have mason jars left over sitting empty and I need to fill them with beautiful things. So, I came up with my own list of 10 Easy DIY Mason Jar Crafts.
1. Mason Jar Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

The overall time it took was about 10 minutes, which included the time it took to print the recipe instruction tag, which is also included as a free printable. It can be used as a Christmas gift or a gift for any occasion. Talk about easy to make!
2. Buffalo Plaid Mason Jar
This craft by Do Dodson Designs provides easy instructions on how to paint a Buffalo Plaid Mason Jar. I can’t help it, I’ve always been a sucker for plaid. This jar is just so adorable. The instructions provide directions on how to free-hand paint the jar, as well as how to use tape to create straighter lines. She also provides the necessary materials needed for the jar and paint.
3. Frosted Mason Jar Votives
This Frosted Mason Jar Votive from A Beautiful Mess is easy-peasy to make. You only need a couple pieces of crafting materials to create-and-go. I love the frosted snow look and it’s perfect for winter weather. It looks like you can also get this craft completed in under an hour.
4. Natural Peppermint Foot Soak
I’ll be honest, I could really use some of this Easy Peppermint Foot Soak by Suburban Simplicity right now. Can you just imagine it, sitting in a comfy, overstuffed easy chair, with your feet in a nice, relaxing foot soak, just washing away the day’s worries…I think this may just be my next project to tackle and complete. You only need 3 ingredients and can make this in under 5 minutes.
5. Mason Jar Mosaic
I have always wanted to do a mosaic craft and this Mosaic Mason Jar by Mason Jar Crafts Love looks like just the one to try. It’s absolutely simple with the hardest part being figuring out where to lay the tile pieces. You can switch it up and use any color mosaic tile you want.
6. Fairy Lantern
Okay, I admit it, I’m a sucker for anything Tinkerbell related. Ask my husband and he will confirm that I make Tinkerbell pumpkins at Halloween time. So when I discovered this Fairy Lantern by Pixie Hill, I knew it was a success in my book.

9. Succulent Plants in Mason Jars
There’s just something about this Succulent Plant in a Mason Jar that says brilliant to me for a house-warming gift or a hostess gift. Personally, I would love to receive one of these as a gift. I think succulent plants are adorable, plus they are easy to take care of in case you don’t have a green thumb. Bonus: make this in less than 30 minutes.
10. Mason Storage Jars
You could knock me over with a feather, these jars are so adorable. These quick and easy Storage Mason Jars by Haute & Healthy Living are absolutely charming and perfect for any lady’s boudoir. Simply buy any knob, affix it to the top of the jar, and fill with anything you like!
